Studio Information
Culture Verse Studios is more than weekly lessons; Our focus is mentorship and community-based. We help our students gain confidence, prepare to perform, and develop the necessary skills to play in a band and write their own songs. Our community is a safe haven, and our studio is a second home for all of our students where they can become their best musical selves.
Studio Policy
-
We will uplift our students and coach them in a personalized and caring manner. Our goal is to help our students achieve their goals. We begin each new term by setting goals together.
-
Students are expected to arrive punctually with their guitar in tune, nails on their fretting hand trimmed, and with all necessary materials in hand. If the student is going to be 10+ minutes late to a lesson, this will count as a missed lesson and cannot be rescheduled.
Consistent, focused practice is the single most important thing to progress, especially as a beginner. Our beginner practice expectation is 20 minutes a day, 5 days a week (or every weekday).
For intermediate/advanced players, practice expectations will be determined in lessons. Please let us know if you have any questions about practice assignments so that you can clearly understand what to work on during the week.
Parents: If your student is experiencing anything at home or school we should know about, please let us know. The more we know, the more we can help!
We host “Jam Nights” twice a year (think recitals but cooler). All students are encouraged to perform and participate! Students are also strongly encouraged to start their own bands and participate in school bands. If a student ever needs help preparing for auditions/performances, please let us know and we will help them prepare in lessons.
Students must have their own guitar. Let us know if you would like suggestions on what guitar to purchase, we are more than happy to help.

*Tuition reserves your weekly time slot, but may not correlate with lessons received if the student misses any of their scheduled lessons.
Tuition is charged monthly based on our flat rate.
Invoices will be sent approximately 5 days before the due date and will be charged via autopay through PayPal the day they are sent. Invoices will show the number of scheduled lessons in the upcoming month based on our studio schedule/calendar.
If payment is not received by the 3rd of the month, a late fee of $25 will be assessed. Recurrent late payments may result in unenrollment.
You may also pay by check or cash if you prefer.
-
Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will not be given a make up credit. Lessons cancelled with 24 hours notice will be credited a make up lesson for that month. Multiple consecutive cancellations may result in termination of the student’s enrollment
A “make-up day” will be held once per month and will be announced monthly via email. Additionally, a “make-up week” will be held once per term, typically at the end of the term. If the student is unable to reschedule to the designated make up day or make up week, the make up credit may be forfeited.
Make up lessons and absences are not credited towards next month’s tuition.
Lessons cancelled by teachers will be given as much notice as possible and will be rescheduled within 30 days.
Monthly invoices are based on the number of lessons scheduled that month and will not be modified. Any vacations/conflicts communicated in advance will receive a make-up lesson credit for that month.
-
The student is responsible for purchasing any materials required by the teacher, which will be communicated at or before student’s first lesson. Each student must have access to a computer/tablet for reading and listening to music. Student is expected to have required materials no later than two weeks after they have been assigned.
-
Once the student enrolls, they are reserving their spot in the studio for the entire term. Any modifications to weekly lesson times may be made on a case-by-base basis each month before tuition is due.
If the student decides to pause lessons during the course of a term, tuition for the remainder of the semester still applies. Any modifications to this policy are on a case-by-case basis.
Fall Term - September-DecemberSpring Term - January-May
Summer Term - June-August
*A student's spot will not be guaranteed for fall term if they were not enrolled in lessons during the summer term.
-
We will occasionally use photos and Jam Night videos of students on our website or on social media. These posts are meant to help friends and family get excited about learning guitar. If this is something you are not comfortable with, please let us know. In our experience, students love seeing themselves pop up on our social media feed and website. Students only identified by their first name.
